We had a cool lightning storm last night!

It was awesome, huge rolls of thunder and great spikes of lightning, there was rain but it didn't hit the ground, most of it evaporated before it ever hit the ground! John and I sat outside and watched as the storm moved from the south, from the Organ Mountains to the Sacramento Mountains in the east. Our new puppy Hot Rod wanted to sit with us, but after one great roll of thunder, he headed for the front porch, crying to be let in the house.

Joan has a foot doctor appointment today and then we meet Flora for lunch out at the mall, I hope to be home before the worst of the heat sets in. We'll go to the Hallmark store and get some birthday cards for July. Our shopping trip Monday in our great & epic search for a bra that fit her was a success! After my alterations, she is very happy with what we purchased. And I'm pleased too.

I'll be back tomorrow, but I've got to get in gear today! I'm going to spend this afternoon renaming pictures so I can post some!

I hope everyone has a great day!

One of my fondest memories of youth is watching those thunderstorms at night with John. It's not the same out here in MO. We did have one major storm pass directly overhead while out at Innsbrook (pictures soon) these past few weeks, and every thunderclap had the sound of trees nearby falling. Like I said, not quite the same.

Hi all@ the Storey house. I love reading your blog. The puppy sounds adorable. Do you have a tape or cd player? I could sent Joan some books on tape/cd. What does she like? We are all doing fine here in Wisconsin, summer is finally here after one horrific winter. talk to you again soon. Say hi to Joan for us
