Trumpet Vine

My Trumpet Vine, it was in a huge pot at the back of the house 8 years ago, had some leaves in the spring. We then built an addition on our house to accommodate Joan & Jack. Jack passed before we were finished, but Joan enjoys the addition now. The Trumpet Vine got move all over the yard in its huge pot, I finally settled on a corner of the front yard next to the driveway. I was pretty sure that the rabbits and the voles killed it last year. To my surprise it started leafing out in February this year, so I remove the pot from around it, and found some large rocks that were not being used and hemmed it in, gave it some potting soil, and it's just going great guns. No blooms this year, maybe next year the hummers will get some large flowers to drink from!
I hope everyones week is going good, mine is, still fighting with HotRod about chewing on me, LOL! Joan is well, goes for walks early in the mornings, when its cool. Yesterday evening it was 96 on my front porch about 7 pm, when we took the boys for a walk. Suppose to get to 100 today!
